PDP Declares ‘Operation Win To Win’ In Anambra
Anambra state branch of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has set the stage to win the 2014 governorship election in Anambra state. In an unprecedented gathering of the national and zonal leadership of the party, plus the entire members of the party in the state, the now undisputed state chairman of the party, Ken Emeakayi, declared it is ‘operation win to win’ in Anambra state.
Former senate president of Nigeria, Senator Adolphus Wagbara, the Zonal National Vice Chairman of the party, Dr. Akobundu and eleven governorship aspirants were present in the occasion at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, Anambra state. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, was agog with celebration of a new found peace and unity that eluded the party ever since and the gathering was a get together of some sort. The arrival of the state chairman, Ken Emeakayi threw the crowd in frenzied excitement, then the endorsement of the state chairman by the national body of the party in which every party member was urged to team up with the new man for victory.
The solemn song of victory after a protracted strife and war in the party spoke deep of the new chairman’s feelings. He announced that the crisis in the party in the state is over and the mission is win to win. Ken Emeakayi unveiled the eleven aspirants who all spoke in one voice that whoever emerged as candidate in the August 24th primary will have the support of the rest.
The Zonal National vice chairman encouraged the party members to work as a team and realize the 2014 project.
One of the aspirants who were initially disqualified by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mr. Tony Nwoye was amongst the aspirants having been cleared by INEC.
