Mourinho Ends Contract With Real Madrid

Culled from Channels TV
Real Madrid Coach and Portuguese international, Jose Mourinho, has ensured that he is a step close to achieving his desire for the next season which has been a speculation since mid-season up until now, as it has been announced that the Portuguese maestro will be leaving Bernabeu at the end of this season.

At a press conference this evening, Club President Florentino Perez, made the announcement after reported talks between Mourinho and the Real Madrid management. Real Madrid president announced during the press conference that  “On behalf of the board of directors I would like to thank Jose Mourinho for his efforts over the last three seasonsThe club and the manager agree the timing is right to bring our relationship to an end.”

With “Mutual Agreement” both sides decided to bid each other farewell after a trophy-less season for the club and several outbursts, fall-outs with players and Spanish press alike. The ‘special one’ felt he’s had enough knowing that he sure would be ending his thorny journey with the Bernabeu club.
It was announced that Mourinho will be bowing out of his position as the head coach of the club after the final game against Osasuna on June 1st, ending three years of Spanish club campaign after he and Madrid reached an agreement to terminate his contract.

Following his Real Madrid’s Champions League exit to Borussia Dortmund last month, Mourinho gave his biggest hint yet that he was preparing for a return to Stamford Bridge, while he was also pictured in a branch of Ikea buying boxes and packaging.

The deal to terminate Mourinho’s contract means he would be free to sign for another club at the end of the season without compensation needing to be paid – a factor which was rumoured to have been a sticking point for Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich.

There has also been talk of the 50-year-old replacing Carlo Ancelotti at Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, with the Italian the leading candidate for the Bernabeu post.
